St Peter’s Senior High School has won this year’s National Science and Maths Quiz after a thought content today at the National Theatre.

St Peter’s won the contest with 45 points while Adisadel College and West African Senior High School (WASS) obtained 39 and 44 points respectively.

These are the result at the end of each round.

ROUND 1
WASS: 19 pointts
Adisadel: 22 points
St. Peters: 21 points

ROUND 2
WASS: 22 pointts
Adisadel: 25 points
St. Peters: 22 points

ROUND 3
WASS: 25 pointts
Adisadel: 29 points
St. Peters: 26 points

ROUND 4
WASS: 41 pointts
Adisadel: 36 points
St. Peters: 39 points

ROUND 5 – FINAL RESULT
WASS: 44 pointts
Adisadel: 39 points
St. Peters: 45 points

One question that got everyone talking is the Problem Of The Day at the third round. Contestants were asked to “Describe How To Solve A Word Problem”.

Expression on the faces of heads of schools; even everyone there did not look good as the quiz madam read out the expected answer. Out of the overall 10 points expected for each school for that round, WASS had 3 points; whiles Adisadel and St. Peters had 4 points each.

This year’s contest was very interesting; and competitive. Congrations to all finalists; mostly; St Peters; for winning 2018 National Science And Maths Quiz.
