He lamented on this issue after a photo of pregnant women and children sleeping on floors due to the lack of beds in the country’s number one leading hospital korle-bu.

Mr. Agyemang- Manu believes the pressure on the korle-bu will drastically reduce if patients are spread across other health facilities, rather than always korle-bu , even the least illness, he added.

Addressing the media on Wednesday 11 July 2018, the minister of health emphasize that less critical situations including “stomach pains and headaches” should be redirected to other hospitals and clinics and not Korle-Bu.

He said “there are satellite polyclinics which are supposed to take off some pressure on korle-bu but some of us are even refusing to go there .At the slight thing, we are in Korle-Bu”
